With more than 18 years as a graphic designer, I began consulting full-time in 2019, but I craved better work and more interesting problems to solve. In 2021, after earning a certificate in UX Design from York University, I added building apps, websites, and digital experiences to my skill set. I love making tech human and thrive in ambiguous situations.
As a UX designer, my ethos is less about chasing a dream or following my passion and more about looking around to see what needs to be done, then doing it. I’m passionate about research, solving complex business problems and advocating for human-centred design that improves people’s lives beyond the screen.
Making the jump to UX Design was the best career move I could have made. It’s given me the skills to perform deep analysis of user needs and the wisdom to focus on the nature of the problem first. When I’m not fussing over my designs in Figma you can find me with friends in the Rockies hiking, biking, skiing or lounging at home bingeing the latest series online.
